Dichloromethylphenidate is a potent psychostimulant that acts as both a dopamine reuptake inhibitor and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. 3,4-CTMP is a structural analog of methylphenidate. 3,4-CTMP has a duration of 6 to 18 hours rather than the 4 to 6 hour duration found with methylphenidate.
